Sunset

The colors of the sunset here in Alaska are far more vibrant than these photos let on. The sky turns pink, the mountains begin to glow, and the ocean reflects the light, creating a visual masterpiece.

Sunset and Mt. Augustine. Augustine is an active island volcano about 120 km South West of Homer. It is one of several Cook Inlet volcanos, which also include Mt. Redoubt, Illiamna and Spur. This photo was taken off of the porch of the house we live at.
View of the Pacific Ocean (Cook Inlet) and the Kenai Mountains from our driveway.

Hi Joanie,
Aunt Sharon here, love it that you are 'blogging' too, and appreciate the photos. Neat that you have all the family blogs on your site, I go from yours to the rest of them. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving you two! Miss you of course.

Love and hugs, aunt Sharon & uncle Jack
